Exclusive Modes and Online Play

• Carnival Coaster: Work together on a co-op ride, using Joy-Con 2 mouse controls to aim at flying enemies. Play a mouse-control minigame each time the coaster enters a pipe and cooperate to improve your score.
• Bowser Live: Compete in two teams in sound- and movement-based challenges. A compatible camera can project you and your friends into the in-game venue.
• Koopathlon: Race in a 20-player online competition featuring minigames such as Lane Change. Higher scores move you toward the goal faster.
• Bowser Kaboom Squad: Team up against an Impostor Bowser in an eight-player online mode.
• Worldwide rankings: Compare your performance in both online modes. Standard Mario Party mode also supports play with friends, family, or others online.

Motion Controls, GameChat, and GameShare

Cook to the beat in Rhythm Kitchen, assemble items in Toad's Item Factory, and soar in Paratroopa Flight School. Motion-control minigames in standard Mario Party mode can be toggled on or off, from running through merry-go-rounds to motion-control minigolf.

Use GameChat to talk with friends and family through the built-in microphone while sharing your screen online. A compatible USB-C camera enables video features in supported modes.

With GameShare, a Nintendo Switch 2 owner with this edition can share part of the game with Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 systems. With one game, up to four people can play the Mega Wiggler's Tree Party board and 30 minigames in Mario Party mode.

Controller and Online Requirements

Joy-Con 2 controllers are required for motion-control minigames. These minigames are not compatible with Bowser Kaboom Squad, Koopathlon, or Nintendo Switch Lite. Additional accessories may be required for multiplayer and are sold separately.

Internet access, a Nintendo Switch Online membership, and a Nintendo Account are required for online features, including GameChat. A compatible USB camera is required for video features.
